Once the wall of your fire pit is built, it's time to focus on the interior. Line the bottom of your fire pit with a thick layer of sand, and then place fire bricks or fire-ring blocks on top. These materials can withstand high temperatures and will protect the concrete blocks from direct exposure to the fire.
